How to Set Lancelot M1630 Pro DTF Printer Holiday Mode - Avoid Clogs

With long holidays approaching, custom apparel studio owners often worry about their main workforce—the DTF printer. Due to the unique nature of DTF inks, if the printer sits idle for more than 3 days, the printheads can dry out and clog easily. Replacing a printhead can cost thousands of dollars.

To completely solve this pain point, Lancelot has equipped its star model, the Lancelot A3 M1630 Pro DTF Printer, with a dedicated "Holiday Mode" feature. Once activated, the printer enters a low-power standby state and automatically runs a cleaning and maintenance cycle every 24 hours, keeping the ink channels clear so you can enjoy your vacation hassle-free!

If you plan to leave your printer idle for 3 days or more, make sure to follow these steps to properly activate "Holiday Mode":

🛠️ Phase 1: Pre-Maintenance Preparation

Before switching the system mode, you must manually clean and top up the printer hardware and consumables. This ensures the automatic maintenance runs smoothly:

• Refill Ink Cartridges: Check all color and white ink cartridges. If they are low, refill them immediately. Automatic cleaning consumes ink, so you must guarantee a sufficient supply during the holiday.
• Empty Waste Ink: Thoroughly drain the waste ink tank (waste bottle) to prevent overflow from the automated cleanings.
• Adjust White Ink Cycle & Stirring:
  • Turn the White Ink Cycle knob on the back of the printer to the "55" scale mark.
    
• Turn Off Heating & Suction:
  • Long-press the OK button on the control panel to turn off the front heating and hot plate control functions.
  • Turn the Suction switch to "0" (completely off).

💻 Phase 2: Activating "Holiday Mode" System Settings

• Disconnect Data Cable: Unplug the USB data cable connecting the computer/laptop to the printer. The printer screen will typically display "Offline Mode."
• Reboot the Device: Turn off the printer power switch, wait for 1 minute, and then turn it back on.
• Confirm System Mode: Wait for the printer to finish its initial boot-up self-check. Once complete, the main display will show "Holiday Mode".
  *Note: The factory default setting is for the printer to run a clean cycle every 24 hours. It is highly recommended not to change this countdown.
• Keep Power Connected: Once in Holiday Mode, always keep the main power cord plugged in and the power switch turned on! The printer will countdown in the background and clean on schedule.
